Lehigh University hosts a Small Business Development Center that provides consulting services and educational programs to entrepreneurs wanting to start or grow a small business.
If you’re just starting out, the SBDC offers a ‘First Step’ program, which is held once a month and goes over general concerns of starting a business. The second phase for start-ups is one-on-one counseling with their consultants and staff who work with clients on business planning, cash flows, financing, marketing, legal, accounting, and more. It’s an excellent local resource and a very smart investment in making your start-up work.
If you have a small business idea and a solid business plan, but were denied by your lender to get a start-up loan there may be another chance for you at the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Center.
Your case will be presented according to packaging specifications set forth by the Committee and delivered to LVEDC and participating institutions as it was received and then reviewed at a formal meeting of the Committee, which votes on which projects they will help to move forward.
